1. WHERE WILL WE SHOOT?
We can do the shoot anywhere you would like in the Southern/Central Maine area. Some ideas are:
Kettle Cove (nice paths and boardwalks with shade with beautiful rocks and the sandy beach with sea grass)
Little River Flower Farm (gorgeous flower gardens, a rustic barn, fields and a pond)
Behind Inn by the Sea (stunning long board walk to the ocean with a tunnel of trees, a dappled sun forest and of course the beautiful sandy beach with seagrass)
The Old Port (stunning Euro style look with cobblestones, street lights and the fishing harbor)
Fort Williams (rocky coast, forts and the children garden)
Bates College (pond, trees, beautiful light stone architecture
Pineland Farms (gorgeous gardens, ponds, quaint bridges)
2. WHAT DO I WEAR?
You can bring up to 3 outfits which is included in the shoot fee. Please have a parent or a friend come along to help carry the outfits. We will need to change on location. I bring a screen that can be held for privacy but there is usually a quick change area near all locations.
3. WHAT IF IT RAINS ON THE DAY OF THE SHOOT?
That does happen on occasion. We just reschedule the shoot to a later time. There is no fee to change the shoot date.
4. HOW LONG AFTER THE SHOOT WILL MY IMAGES BE READY?
We usually schedule your photo selection appointment about 1 to 2 weeks after your photo session. I present your photos on my photo wall in my studio which are matted fine art prints (which you have the option to purchase). The students don't see a lot of photos in print anymore so it's magical for them (exact words from one of my seniors!) Many of our senior families want wall art, albums, folio boxes and prints. Digitals are included with some of our products. I guide you through the ordering process to make it as quick and seamless as possible.
5. DO YOU PROVIDE HAIR AND MAKEUP SERVICES?
Yes. I have 3 professional hair and makeup artists that can come in before your session upon request. I highly recommend this! We will need to schedule a Monday or a Thursday,
6. WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES?
My session fee is $195 which includes travel, parking, park fees, 1 to 2 hours of photography time, up to 3 outfits, all editing/color correction and your photo reveal/ordering session.
When you come back into the studio for your ordering appointment, you will see that we have many a la carte products. Packages start at $300. Clients love our high quality heirloom products and prints. Clients spend between $300 and $3000+, it's completely up to you. I love that I offer upscale photography while offering pricing for every budget. There is a $300 minimum order requirement.
IMPORTANT: I strongly believe in getting tangible print products. Digitals will get lost, corrupt or just buried on your phone. Years ago, I offered digitals only and I was NOT doing anyone any favors that way. Nobody knew what to do with them.
7. WHAT TIME DO YOU USUALLY START THE SHOOT?
I usually start the shoot 1 1/2 hours prior to sunset during the week. I photograph weddings on weekends so I'm unavailable then. The shoot is usually one to two hours tops.
